Job summary

QTS is seeking a Development Program Manager (Q-Systems: Security) to lead design, pre-construction, and construction activities across a portfolio of data center projects in the Atlanta area. You will interact daily with Facilities, Contractors, Designers, Engineers, Vendors, and Data Center Operations staff.

The role requires 8+ years in commercial construction, strong MS Office skills, and the ability to travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
• Eight or more years of professional experience in commercial construction practices and procedures.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite, specifically PowerPoint for executive updates, and Excel for budgets.
• Be able to travel up to 50% of the time.
• MBA, Masters in Engineering, Management, or related field desirable.
• Experience with delivery of mission critical data center facilities.
• Extensive experience with management of MEP trades.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, pre-construction, and construction activities for Q-Systems: Security projects.
• Coordinate daily with Facilities, Contractors, Designers, Engineers, Commissioning Agents, Vendors, and Data Center Operations staff.
• Provide program level support for network infrastructure deployments across the portfolio.
• Create and communicate development program and project status updates for executives.
• Establish and maintain project schedules and manage teams to on-time completion.
• Develop scopes of work for design, construction, and commissioning services; assist in procurement and cost estimates.
• Review designs for compliance with QTS standards and Basis of Design documents.
