Job summary

Wayne Farms seeks a Regional Process Safety Manager to lead PSM and RMP programs across multiple facilities, guiding regulatory compliance and safety improvements. This role partners with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Safety, and Training teams to identify hazards, reduce risk, and ensure effective safety practices on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety Management, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in regulatory or compliance management (OSH A/EPA/RCRA/CWA or similar).
• Hands-on experience supporting chemical processes covered by OSHA PSM standards.
• Knowledge of EPA Risk Management Plan and OSHA PSM requirements.
• Ability to read, interpret, and translate regulatory requirements into practical operational solutions.
• Strong written and verbal communication with the ability to work with employees and leaders at all levels.
• Strong organization, project management, and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Willingness to travel between assigned facilities as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage PSM and RMP programs across assigned facilities.
• Partner with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Safety, and Training to identify hazards and reduce risk.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DHS, CFATS, and other regulatory requirements.
• Plan and lead PSM audits, assessments, and reviews; identify gaps, root causes, and corrective actions.
• Communicate performance, compliance concerns, deadlines, and recommendations to leadership and agencies as appropriate.
• Develop and maintain health and safety programs, policies, procedures, and MOCP processes.
• Develop and deliver training to improve understanding of process safety requirements.
• Prepare and communicate required reports and findings.
• Stay current on evolving process safety regulations and best practices.
• Coach, mentor, and support PSM Coordinators; build process safety capability.
• Influence and guide teams across locations to ensure safety expectations are understood.
