Qualifications

• 15+ years of relevant oil and gas experience.
• Demonstrated experience leading process safety programs, governance systems, audits, EPA's Risk Management Program activities, and cross-functional improvement initiatives in a collaborative operating environment.
• Strong working knowledge of the OSHA Process Safety Management program, EPA's Risk Management Program, PHAs, MOC, PSSR, incident investigation, facility siting, consequence modeling, mechanical integrity interfaces, and related process safety practices.
• Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop technical professionals while building trust, alignment, and shared ownership across regional operations, engineering, EHS, maintenance, integrity, and leadership teams.
• Strong communication, facilitation, change management, data analysis, stakeholder engagement, and innovation skills, with the ability to translate technical risk concepts into practical tools, workflows, and field actions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the process safety program across the organization with regional ownership.
• Develop and mentor a team of process safety engineers.
• Balance leadership with hands-on technical contributions to priority work.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, EHS, Maintenance, and project leaders to set priorities.
• Clarify roles, accountabilities, and decision points for governance and execution.
• Establish and improve core process safety workflows and programs (PHA, MOC, PSSR).
• Provide program oversight for OSHA PSM and EPA RMP programs.
• Champion process safety culture through field outreach and education.
• Identify resource needs and secure tools, training, and support.
• Use innovation to simplify workflows and improve data visibility.
• Monitor performance, audit findings, incident trends, and action items.
• Interact with Asset Teams to align programs and communicate metrics.
• Sponsor corrective action quality and durable program improvements.
• Support capital projects by integrating process safety into development.
• Prepare and communicate process safety updates and risk themes.
• Model Harvest leadership values and remove barriers.
