Job summary

The Ministry of Justice is seeking an experienced L&D leader to oversee delivery of Probation qualifications across an NPS region. Although based within the NPS, you will be a core member of the wider HMPPS L&D team and report to a Regional Learning Lead.

You will manage day-to-day delivery of probation qualifications at regional level and contribute to design and delivery of associated L&D programmes, mentoring staff, and supporting continuous improvement across NPS/HMPPS L&D.

Qualifications

• Leadership and line management experience within L&D or equivalent.
• Ability to engage internal and external stakeholders to deliver national and regional priorities.
• Experience in HR policies, procedures and staff development.
• Coaching/mentoring of staff to support professional development.

Responsibilities

• Deliver probation qualifications and L&D activities at regional level.
• Manage a dispersed team of Practice Tutor Assessors (PTAs).
• Develop initiatives to meet business needs and align with regional/national priorities.
• Monitor learner progression and advise line managers and PTAs.
