Meta seeks an experienced policy leader to manage local government affairs for data center sites across the United States. You will engage with cities, counties, and regional bodies to advance infrastructure investment and permitting strategies while aligning with company site development timelines.

The role requires 8+ years in public policy, strong communication, and the ability to travel up to 80%. This remote position is open to candidates in TX or LA with frequent travel expected.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in political science, business/strategy, economics, legal, communications, public relations, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in state or local public policy, advocacy, or government affairs.
• Experience with policymakers and stakeholders in data center site locations.
• Knowledge of technology, infrastructure, data center, and economic development policy and advocacy landscape in region.
• Experience working cross‑functionally.
• Experience creating and implementing advocacy campaigns at state/local level with milestones related to policy/advocacy goals.
• Creative problem solving, negotiation, and multi‑tasking in time‑sensitive settings.
• Experience communicating nuanced concepts to diverse audiences.

• Lead Meta's local government affairs efforts across current and future data center sites in the United States.
• Build and execute a local government affairs strategy for the region that advances data center site objectives across cities, counties, municipalities, and regional bodies.
• Work directly with local policymakers to advance data center infrastructure investment, permitting, and economic development.
• Monitor the political environment and identify opportunities to advance local policies that benefit the company and communities.
• Partner with Infrastructure and Data Center teams to align local policy engagement with site development timelines.

• Work with Community Engagement to engage with chambers of commerce and industry associations to advance priorities.
• Ensure cross‑functional partners receive timely updates on local policy developments.
• Manage relationships with local policymakers, contract lobbyists, and trade associations.
• Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time based on need.
