Qualifications

  • Experience with the political process, policymakers, and stakeholders at data center site locations.
  • Knowledge of technology, infrastructure, data center, and economic development policy and the advocacy landscape in region.
  • Experience working cross-functionally
  • Demonstrated experience creating and implementing advocacy campaigns with milestones.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Meta's local government affairs across current and future data center sites in the United States.
  • Build and execute a local government affairs strategy supporting site objectives across cities, counties, municipalities, and regional bodies.
  • Work with local policymakers to advance data center infrastructure investment, permitting, and economic development.
  • Monitor the political environment and identify opportunities to advance local policies.
  • Partner with Infrastructure and Data Center teams to align policy with site development timelines.
  • Engage with industry groups, nonprofits, and associations to promote Meta objectives.
  • Develop strategies with Community Engagement for chambers of commerce and civil society groups.
  • Provide timely updates to cross-functional partners on local policy developments.
  • Manage relationships with policymakers, contract lobbyists, and trade associations.
  • Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time.
