Job summary

Central Maine Healthcare is seeking a Regional Physician Recruiter to lead full-cycle physician and APP recruitment across our growing system. The role is hybrid, based in Lewiston, Maine, and collaborates with medical leadership, operations, and clinical teams to build a robust provider pipeline.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of professional physician recruiting experience.
• Willingness to travel region-wide to meet potential physicians.
• Experience drafting physician contracts.
• Experience recruiting physicians for employed positions.
• Familiarity with physician compensation models.
• Experience recruiting passive candidates.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
• Excellent interpersonal, communications skills, confidentiality, time management and outstanding negotiation skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Driven, goal oriented, results-focused and high achiever.
• Strong written/verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle physician and advanced practice provider recruitment across multiple specialties and service lines.
• Develop and maintain physician and provider pipelines through sourcing, networking, and relationship-building initiatives.
• Partner with physicians, medical leadership, and operational stakeholders to support recruitment and workforce planning efforts.
• Coordinate candidate interviews, site visits, onboarding activities, and recruitment logistics.
• Establish and maintain market presence through residency and fellowship outreach, professional conferences, networking events, and recruitment initiatives.
• Represent Central Maine Healthcare as an employer of choice within the healthcare community.
• Deliver an exceptional candidate experience throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
