Job summary

Provident Bank in New Jersey is seeking a Personal Banker (Float) for the North West Region, primarily serving Sparta, Milton, Hampton and Wantage. This full-time role blends transactional banking with sales and service, focusing on building relationships and helping customers meet financial goals.

As a Float, you may travel to branches within the North West Region; there may be times you cover other locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 6 months of sales and service experience in a customer-facing retail environment.
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.
• Demonstrates a positive and professional demeanor with customers and coworkers.
• Strong math and analytical skills and the ability to learn computer programs.

Responsibilities

• Meet sales referrals and cross-sell goals by knowing product features and benefits.
• Promote bank products and refer or resolve inquiries about accounts or services.
• Refer customers to business partners for commercial products.
• Exceed customer expectations through active engagement and relationship building.
• Manage and grow a book of business through needs-based assessments.
