Job summary

Family Care Center is seeking a Patient Services Representative – Regional Float to greet patients, manage intake, and support clinics within the region. You will perform clerical tasks, scheduling, and coordination to ensure smooth front-desk operations.

The role requires one year of medical front desk and customer service experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid driver’s license. Travel between clinics and exceptional patient service are essential elements of this position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of medical front desk receptionist experience or administrative experience preferred.
• 1 year of customer service experience required.
• Current driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Travels between clinics and providers back-up/float coverage as needed.
• Welcomes patients and visitors to the office and directs questions to appropriate staff members.
• Checks patients in and out for their scheduled visit while adhering to our 5-Star standard of patient care.
• Schedules, reschedules and cancels patient appointments in alignment with provider schedules and availability.
• Receives and supports patient calls. Places reminder calls and confirms appointments for intake patients.
• Verifies insurance coverage and ensures patient is eligible to receive services.
• Collects co-pays and other payments from patients and reconciles receipts.
• Verifies demographic and insurance information and acquires necessary data.
• Retrieves required patient forms and uploads into patient chart; documents in E.H.R.
• Monitors patient voicemails and portal messages and relays to provider as needed.
• Assists patients in crisis and participates in medical office emergency routine when required.
