Firstsource Solutions is seeking a Regional Patient Advocate to screen patients for eligibility programs on-site at hospitals within a designated region. The role requires travel to cover gaps and to support hospital staff with eligibility processes.

You will initiate applications at the bedside when feasible, document results, and maintain professional communications with clients and patient contacts.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1–3 years’ experience with medical billing, medical coding, eligibility (government or or private) is preferred.
• Essential proficiency in personal computer skills and ability to collaborate with colleagues, patients, external organizations, and hospital staff.
• Capable of maintaining a professional and polite demeanor with minimal supervision.

Aufgaben

• Screen patients referred to Firstsource for eligibility assistance programs at the hospital.
• Travel within an assigned region to provide coverage and to cover for representatives who are unavailable.
• Initiate the application process at the patient’s bedside whenever feasible.
• Record patient information on the in-house screening sheet and document results in the hospital system.
• Foster positive working relationships with hospital staff at all levels and report progress to client contacts.
