Job summary

Vertex Pharmaceuticals LLC is seeking a Regional Field Leader for the Blue Grass Territory (Kentucky/Indiana/Ohio). The role oversees 4–5 Pain Territory Account Managers and 4–5 Territory Business Managers, driving market access, formulary strategy, and cross-functional execution to advance JOURNAVX in acute pain.

The preferred candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years in healthcare/pharma, including leadership in hospital/health system settings.

Qualifications

• Hospital/health system engagement and institutional sales experience.
• Proven ability to lead teams in strategic accounts across multiple facilities.
• Experience pulling through inpatient formularies, pathways, and order sets.
• Launch experience for new products is preferred.
• Strong collaboration with cross-functional teams and adherence to compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead a 4–5 PTAMs and 4–5 TBMs in assigned geography.
• Set regional plans, metrics, and goals; drive forecast attainment.
• Coach and develop team to deliver results while upholding Vertex values.
• Guide formulary placement, pathway development, and protocol pull-through.
• Partner with US Pain Marketing and field teams to optimize performance.
