Job summary

Google is hiring a Regional Building Technologies and OT Operations Specialist to manage building automation and OT security across regional facilities in the US. You will lead architecture for BMS, collaborate with IFM partners, and enforce cyber hygiene within defined SLAs while coordinating with service providers and vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Building Systems, Controls Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience operating, managing, and securing building automation systems (BAS/BMS) or OT across multi-facility real estate portfolios.
• Experience implementing OT cybersecurity controls (network segmentation, firmware/patch management, secure remote access) and incident response for building infrastructure.
• Experience collaborating with third-party Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) partners and controls contractors.
• Experience with building control protocols (BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, MQTT), and supervisory platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional operational architecture and lifecycle performance for BMS, lighting, and connected building equipment.
• Partner with onsite Facilities Managers and IFM operating engineers to maintain control system reliability and uptime.
• Own regional OT cyber hygiene, vulnerability and patch management within defined SLOs, as technical risk authority for building and connected systems.
• Drive rapid technical and corrective actions for building automation failures and OT security incidents within defined SLOs.
• Manage predictive maintenance, Fault Detection and Diagnostics (FDD), and Security-by-Design standards for operations and capital projects.
