Job summary

Shopko Optical seeks an Optical Manager to lead teams across multiple locations, driving sales, patient care and customer service. You will supervise dispensing eyewear, set strategic goals and work with Optometrists to achieve business results.

The role emphasizes coaching, recruiting, and maintaining high standards, with on-the-job training and certification opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401K with match, and PTO.

Qualifications

• ABO/Shopko OCE Certification required within 12 months of hire/promotion.
• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• 3 years of leadership experience or equivalent management experience with a strong customer service focus.
• Proven ability to lead, coach and build relationships in a professional environment.
• Able to direct and motivate a diverse teammate network.
• Able to analyze financial data and drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams across multiple centers to maximize sales, profit and customer service.
• Hire, train, coach and manage performance of teams in collaboration with Optometrists.
• Develop business plans and execute merchandising and operational strategies.
• Ensure centers are compliant with HR policies and state/federal laws.
• Provide excellent customer service and patient care in all interactions.
