Job summary

Balfour Beatty Communities seeks a Regional Operations Director to oversee a portfolio of military housing, ensuring strong performance and high service standards. You will bridge project directors and facilities management while coaching site leaders to implement best practices.

Reporting to the VP of Military Housing, you will analyze financial and occupancy metrics, lead a capable team, drive growth, and collaborate with DoD partners to align with business goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associates to Bachelor's Degree in Business, Property Management, Hospitality preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years in property management.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Accredited Residential Manager or Certified Apartment Manager designation within one year of hire.
• Possession of a valid, state-issued driver’s license and safe driving record is required.

Responsibilities

• Review monthly portfolio summaries with financial variances and KPIs.
• Monitor and report financial and operational findings to VP.
• Identify strengths and challenges in each team to improve efficiency.
• Build and develop a high-performing, skilled and productive team.
• Collaborate with support staff and community managers for occupancy and revenue tools.
• Analyze occupancy, resident retention, lease renewals, Fair Market Rent structures, and waitlists.
• Monitor site inspections and coordinate with project directors, senior management and government housing agents.
• Audit and improve overall operations with military executives and project teams.
• Communicate data trends to stakeholders and coordinate cross-functional collaboration.
• Other duties as assigned.
