Job summary

AFL is seeking a Regional Operations Director to serve as the primary liaison between AFL and the customer's leadership, balancing resources with expectations. The role oversees financials, staffing, and project delivery across assigned regions.

Reporting to the Network Services VP, you will coordinate multiple managers and subcontractors to maximize efficiency and customer satisfaction in telecom equipment installations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree or 6 years of relevant managerial experience.
• Strong computer and communication skills, leadership and inter-personal abilities.
• Proven ability to manage large accounts locally and remotely.

Responsibilities

• Ensure activities comply with all EHS policies and OSHA regulations; review risk assessments to mitigate risks.
• Interact with customer directors and managers to ensure installation meets standards and is compensated.
• Provide leadership and clear communication to subordinates, peers, and senior management.
• Project future workload, manpower and resource needs, and seek approvals for additional funding.
• Maintain and enhance quality assurance programs to meet client expectations and performance.
• Review installation manpower and hours to stay within budget; manage overtime approvals.
• Review job costs, material requests, and expedite shipping while analyzing financial anomalies.
• Assess change orders for additional compensation when scope changes occur.
• Ensure staff are trained to AFL and local standards; perform HR functions and performance evaluations.
• Ensure project tracking programs and other required systems are updated; identify opportunities for Sales/Marketing.
• Train and motivate management team to maximize business opportunities.
