Job summary

Linde Inc. is seeking an Assoc Director of Operations to lead the Southern California production and distribution operations (Wilmington and Long Beach). You will manage a team, drive safety, efficiency, and process improvements while coordinating with the West Region Director of Operations.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years in operations with 3+ years in plant management. Strong leadership, planning, and communication skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
• 6+ years of Operations experience.
• 3+ years of Plant Management experience.
• Self-starter with ability to drive execution of projects and strategic initiatives.
• Strong leadership, team building, and decision-making skills.
• Reliability and efficiency focus with strong planning and execution skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to motivate a diverse workforce.

Responsibilities

• Direct and lead operations in production, distribution, and maintenance for the West US region.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of Southern California area (Wilmington, CA and Long Beach) and coordinate with the West Region Director of Operations.
• Direct a group of employees and/or consultants to execute operational requirements and process improvements.
• Create and manage complex operational plans to meet business objectives.
• Coordinate activities across departments and functions; ensure alignment with strategy.
• Develop response strategies and communication plans for incidents and changes.
• Lead productivity optimization and cost-reduction projects.
• Staff, train, coach, and administer performance reviews and salary actions.
• Ensure safety policies and environmental compliance; lead SH&E collaboration.
• Develop monthly business reports and address deficiencies.
