Job summary

Linde Inc. in Wilmington, CA is seeking an Associate Director of Operations to direct and plan the production, distribution, and maintenance functions for the Southern California area, reporting to the West Region Director of Operations.

The role requires leading a team, developing complex operational plans, and driving productivity improvements while ensuring safety, environmental compliance, and cost control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of Operations experience.
• 3+ years of Plant Management experience.
• Proven leadership, team building, and decision-making skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to drive execution of projects.
• Strong planning and execution skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities for a diverse workforce.

Responsibilities

• Direct, plan and lead operations in production, distribution and maintenance.
• Accountable for day-to-day operations in Southern California (Wilmington, CA and Long Beach).
• Direct a team of employees/consultants to execute operational requirements and improvements.
• Create and manage complex operational plans to achieve business objectives.
• Coordinate with other departments and functions as primary interface.
• Ensure safety policies, environmental compliance and productive performance.
• Lead Lean Six Sigma and Cost Reduction initiatives and monitor metrics.
• Develop and oversee productivity optimization and plant reliability targets.
• Staff, train, coach and conduct performance reviews and actions.
