Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Area Experience Leader to oversee 4-6 retail offices, ensuring a consistent, high-quality client experience and strong operational execution across locations.

You will coach Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals, set expectations, and drive performance to meet business results. You will balance strategic oversight with in-office presence, monitor metrics, and lead initiatives to improve client satisfaction, revenue, and workforce readiness

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• 3+ years leading teams in a multi-unit retail, service, or operations environment with accountability for performance outcomes.
• Proven ability to coach, develop, and hold teams accountable.
• Experience driving business and financial results while managing day-to-day operations across multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Own consistent delivery of the client experience across 4-6 offices.
• Evaluate execution quality and client impact across locations.
• Lead adoption of new client experience processes, tools, and behaviors.
• Coach Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals to consistent performance.
• Provide coaching based on observed behaviours, feedback, and outcomes.
• Identify patterns across offices and develop bench strength and talent.
• Own revenue, growth, and business outcomes across offices.
• Monitor performance metrics and drive actions to improve results.
• Ensure daily operations, staffing, scheduling, and compliance across offices.
• Oversee office readiness including facilities, equipment, and onboarding for seasonal demand.
