Job summary

H&R Block is seeking an experienced Area Experience Leader to oversee a portfolio of 4-6 offices. You’ll drive a consistent consultative client experience, lead Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals, and balance strategic oversight with hands-on leadership across multiple locations.

You’ll own office readiness, staffing, and day-to-day operations, coaching teams to deliver excellence while ensuring revenue and performance targets are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Proven ability to lead multi-unit teams across several offices.
• Strong client-centric mindset with experience delivering consultative client experience.
• Proven coaching ability to develop and hold teams accountable.
• Track record of driving business and financial results while managing day-to-day operations.
• Experience leading through change and adoption of new processes.
• Ability to prioritize amidst competing demands across multiple locations.
• Experience coordinating facilities, staffing, or compliance.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills, including handling client escalations.
• Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and translate insights into action.

Responsibilities

• Own consistent delivery of consultative client experience across 4-6 offices.
• Evaluate execution quality and client impact across locations.
• Drive adoption of new client experience processes and tools.
• Lead Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals with clear expectations.
• Provide coaching based on observed behaviors and performance data.
• Identify patterns, address gaps, and develop bench strength and talent.
• Own revenue, growth, and operational performance across offices.
• Monitor metrics and implement actions to improve results, acquisition, and retention.
• Ensure daily operations, staffing, scheduling, and compliance across offices.
• Oversee office readiness, facilities, and onboarding for seasonal demand.
