Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. seeks an Area Experience Leader to oversee 4–6 offices, driving a consistent, high-quality client experience while ensuring staffing, facilities, compliance, and day-to-day operations are prepared for peak demand.

You will coach Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals, align priorities, and deliver strong business results. You will balance strategic oversight with hands-on leadership, travel frequently to maintain in-person presence, and coach teams to anticipate

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years work experience leading teams in multi-unit retail/service/ops.
• Strong client-centric mindset with consultative experience.
• Strong leadership capable of coaching and accountability.
• Ability to drive business/financial results across locations including labor management.
• Experience leading through change and adoption of new processes.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment across multiple locations.
• Experience with facilities, staffing, or compliance.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate insights to action.
• Ability to climb ladders and lift up to 20 pounds for office readiness.
• Frequent travel between offices with in-day trips.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery of consultative client experience across 4–6 offices.
• Evaluate execution quality and client impact across locations.
• Drive adoption of new client experience processes and tools.
• Lead and coach Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals.
• Provide coaching based on observed behaviour and performance outcomes.
• Identify patterns across offices and develop bench strength.
• Own revenue, growth, and operational performance.
• Monitor metrics and implement actions to improve results and retention.
• Ensure daily operations, staffing, scheduling, and compliance across offices.
• Oversee office readiness including facilities, supplies, recruiting, onboarding, and seasonal prep.
