Job summary

Akumin is seeking a Regional MR Technologist responsible for patient safety and the performance of high-quality MR studies. The role involves ensuring effective communication with customers, including radiologists, and may include training new technologists and Patient Coordinators.

Key duties include preserving patient safety during pre-screening and aseptic technique, producing diagnostic MR images, managing supplies, and assisting with unit transport.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• ARRT/NMTCB or ARDMS registration required.
• State license required.
• CPR certification required.
• Active state driver’s license required.
• Preferred: Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience; registry by ARRT in Magnetic Resonance.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for Patient Safety including pre-screening and aseptic technique.
• Produces high-quality diagnostic MR images.
• Orders supplies, cleans unit, assists in preparing for transport.
• Communicates effectively with customers and radiologists.
• Trains new technologists and/or Patient Coordinators.

Education
