Job summary

Akumin is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform high-quality MR studies, ensure patient safety, and communicate effectively with radiologists, team members, and patients in on-site and remote settings.

Responsibilities include pre-screening for contraindications, operating MR systems, training new staff, and collaborating across locations. ARRT/MR or ARMRIT certification preferred; state license and CPR required; willingness to travel locally.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• ARRT (R) or ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification as allowable by contract.
• State license, if applicable.
• CPR Certification.
• Ability to work at several locations.
• COVID-19 vaccination may be a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety and pre-screen for contraindications.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic MR images and operate MRI systems.
• Communicate effectively with radiologists, patients, and team members.
• Train and orient new technologists and staff on-site or remotely.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
