Job summary

Akumin is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to provide regional scanning coverage and support field teams in mobile imaging environments.

You will participate in patient safety, pre-screening, and image quality, while coordinating with Account Development Directors and Radiology stakeholders across multiple sites. The role requires adaptability to travel between locations and maintain high patient satisfaction standards.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or equivalent experience.
• Experienced MRI Technologist with 3+ years’ experience in MRI procedures in high-visibility environments.
• ARRT(R) or ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT where contract allows in lieu of ARRT.
• State license and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide scanning coverage for Manager Operations; produce high quality diagnostic images at dedicated sites as needed.
• Communicate with physician groups, Radiology/Clinic Directors, and Radiologists on MRI software, portals, protocols, and quality issues.
• Troubleshoot the MRI scanner and peripheral equipment (monitors, PACS, coils).
• Assist Sales team with start-ups and new business as needed.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
