Job summary

Akumin is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to provide scanning coverage across multiple locations in the region. The role requires diagnosing quality images while ensuring patient safety, pre-screening, and adhering to protocols.

You will partner with local directors and radiology staff on MRI software, scanning protocols, and quality issues while supporting field teams and start-ups as needed. Travel to various sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or equivalent experience.
• Experienced MRI technologist with 3+ years’ experience in Nuclear Medicine procedures.
• Ability to travel between locations and work in high-pressure environments.
• ARRT(R) or ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT as allowable by contract in lieu of ARRT.
• State license and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide scanning coverage for Manager Operations and produce high quality diagnostic images at customer sites; ensure patient safety.
• Collaborate with Account Development Directors, physicians, Radiology Directors and Radiologists on MRI software, protocols and quality issues.
• Troubleshoot the scanner and peripheral equipment; coach staff on equipment use.
• Assist Sales with start-ups and new business as needed.
• Fulfill other responsibilities as assigned.
