Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. is seeking a Regional Medical Scientific Director who provides balanced, non-product scientific information to Scientific Leaders, supports scientific exchange, and guides investigator-sponsored research within the US territory (MD, WV, VA, NC, DC).

The role requires a PhD/MD-level credential and at least 3 years of relevant experience beyond the degree program. Travel up to 50% is expected, with focus on scientific education, stakeholder engagement, and adherence to GCP and

Qualifications

• PhD, PharmD, DNP, DO, or MD required.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant therapeutic area experience beyond degree program.
• Ability to conduct doctoral-level discussions with external stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of FDA, OIG, HIPAA, and related guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Develops professional relationships with national and regional SLs for access to medical information.
• Leads scientific discussions and responses to inquiries outside scope when needed.
• Supports clinical development programs and investigator-sponsored research through protocol leadership.
• Engages in scientific congresses and facilitates data exchange.
