Merck seeks a Regional Medical Scientific Director to serve as a therapy expert engaging with national and regional Scientific Leaders, exchanging scientific information, and guiding investigator-initiated research in approved and in-development programs.

The role covers IN, KY, WV, and VA with up to 50% travel. Requires a terminal degree (PhD, PharmD, DNP, DO, or MD) and at least 3 years in a relevant therapeutic area, plus strong stakeholder engagement skills.

Qualifikationen

• PhD, PharmD, DNP, DO, or MD required.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant therapeutic area experience beyond training.
• Ability to conduct doctoral-level discussions with external stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of FDA, OIG, HIPAA regulations relevant to pharma.

Aufgaben

• Engages in bidirectional scientific information exchange with Regional Scientific Leaders.
• Supports scientific congress activities and data exchange.
• Identifies and addresses scientific questions outside the SD scope with appropriate resources.
• Maintains current knowledge of AOI and therapeutic area developments.
• Leads discussions with SLs to align research strategies and investigator-initiated projects.
• Travel up to 50% within IN, KY, WV, and VA.
