Merck in the United States seeks a Regional Medical Scientific Director (PhD/MD/PharmD/DNP) to lead scientific exchange, research collaboration, and congress support across Indiana, Kentucky, West Virginia, and Virginia. The role drives external engagement with national and regional scientific leaders and aligns with company-approved medical information.

The position requires strong stakeholder management, knowledge of regulatory guidelines, and at least 3 years of therapeutic area experience

Formación

• Minimum: PhD, PharmD, DNP, DO, or MD.
• Proven competence with at least 3 years of therapeutic area experience beyond degree program.
• Ability to conduct doctoral-level discussions with external stakeholders.
• Commitment to scientific excellence with focus on education and dialogue.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and networking skills.
• Solid understanding of FDA, OIG, HIPAA, and other regulations relevant to pharma.
• Ability to work in a changing environment and prioritize tasks.
• Strong Office Suite knowledge (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, OneNote).
• Familiarity with virtual meeting platforms.
• Promote inclusive culture and transform business landscape.

Responsabilidades

• Develops professional relationships and engages with national and regional SLs to share approved medical information.
• Conducts peer-to-peer scientific discussions and maintains medical contacts within the company.
• Directs inquiries on issues outside scope to appropriate resources.
• Maintains current knowledge of dynamic scientific environment in AOIs.
• Initiates discussions with SLs/investigators on scientific/data exchange to align with research strategies.
• Enhances understanding of investigator-sponsored research foundations and goals.
• Identifies barriers to patient enrollment and retention for milestones.
• Provides protocol leadership collaboratively with GCTO and supports investigator participation.
