Merck is seeking a Regional Medical Scientific Director to engage in scientific exchange with external SLs, lead data-driven discussions, and support investigator-initiated research across IN, KY, WV, VA. Travel up to 50% within territory is expected.

Minimum requirements include a terminal degree (PhD/MD/DO/PharmD/DNP) and 3+ years of relevant experience, with strong leadership, communication, and regulatory knowledge in the pharmaceutical industry.

Qualifications

• PhD, PharmD, DNP, DO, or MD required.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant therapeutic area experience beyond the terminal degree program.
• Ability to conduct doctoral-level discussions with key external stakeholders.
• Strong adherence to FDA, OIG, HIPAA, and GCP guidelines.

Responsabilités

• Engages in bidirectional scientific exchange with national/regional SLs to provide company-approved medical information.
• Leads discussions with SLs and investigators to align with research strategies and trial concepts.
• Supports scientific congress activities and dissemination of data.
• Ensures accountability and promotes inclusive culture across the medical affairs team.
