Job summary

Merck seeks a Regional Medical Scientific Director (RMSD) with terminal degree credentials to lead scientific exchange and research efforts across IN, KY, WV, and VA. You will collaborate with national and regional scientific leaders, shaping access to company-approved medical information while supporting investigator-sponsored studies and trials.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications include a terminal degree (PhD/PharmD/DNP/DO/MD).
At least 3 years of relevant therapeutic area experience beyond the degree program.
Ability to conduct doctoral-level discussions with external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Develops professional relationships with national and regional SLs to provide access to medical and scientific information on therapeutic areas and Company products.
Conducts peer-to-peer scientific discussions and maintains a reliable medical contact within the company for SLs.
Addresses scientific questions and directs inquiries outside of scope to appropriate company resources.
Maintains current knowledge of dynamic scientific and clinical environment in the AOI for the RDC’s therapeutic area.
