Otsuka America Pharmaceutical, Inc. is seeking a Regional Medical Lead (Director) to drive regional strategy, engage senior stakeholders, and align medical activities with patient-centric priorities across the United States.

The role partners with field leadership to ensure seamless care and evidence generation tailored to regional needs. The RML will be the primary medical contact for regional decision makers, guiding MSL teams and coordinating between medical, market access, and regional

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Pharmacy, Medicine, or Biological Sciences is strongly preferred.
• 7–10 years of strategic leadership across therapeutic and cross-functional teams.
• Ability to influence without authority in complex healthcare environments.
• Understanding health systems interconnectivity and patient care delivery.
• Strong analytical skills to identify barriers and success factors.
• Ongoing investment in developing self and others to enable excellence.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to region strategic business plan addressing regional challenges and opportunities.
• Establish and manage senior stakeholder and C-suite relationships across the region to understand needs and identify insights for medical collaboration.
• Develop a deep understanding of regional ecosystems, including health systems, centers of excellence, key influencers, decision makers, and payers.
• Maintain alignment with patient-centric strategy and ensure delivery of optimal patient care.
• Primary medical point of contact for top decision makers and influencers to co-create, plan, and implement mutually beneficial initiatives.
• Identify regional evidence generation needs in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
• Provide field leadership to ensure MSLs focus on key institutions and influencers.
