Job summary

Better Health Group seeks a Regional MA Float to support primary care clinics. The role combines clinical duties with front-desk tasks, preparing patients, assisting physicians, and documenting in the EMR. Travel within the region is required about 85% of the time.

Ideal candidates have CMA/RMA or MA training, a year of MA experience, CPR and IV start/Phlebotomy preferred, plus strong communication and computer skills to support patient care and team coordination.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of Accredited Medical Assistant program preferred (RMA or CMA).
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• CPR certification preferred.
• IV Start Certification preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred (knowledge of collection methods).
• Knowledge of medical coding preferred.
• Knowledge of HIPAA preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records.

Responsibilities

• Greet and prepare patients for provider examination and document history, vitals, and medications in the EMR.
• Assist provider with examinations, treatments, and procedures.
• Maintain complete patient records electronically in the EMR.
• Manage front-desk duties including calls, scheduling, and triage.
• Explain treatments and instructions to patients; prepare rooms for exams.
• Perform clinical duties including administration of medications and basic procedures.
• Conduct in-office diagnostic tests and CLIA-waived labs.
• Monitor inventory and place orders for medical supplies.
• Provide patient education and assist with onboarding of new team members.
• Travel within region 85% of the time.
