About the FGMA Marketing Team
The marketing department is led by the marketing leader who is supported by a marketing director focused on revenue generation (rev-gen) and a digital marketing & communication director focused on demand generation (demand-gen). Each region of the firm (Chicago, Austin, St. Louis and Northern Virginia) has a dedicated RMM to lead the rev-gen efforts. The firm currently has (4) marketing coordinators who manage the production of the rev-gen efforts for the regional marketing managers. The department also includes two copywriters and events coordinator.
About the Regional Marketing Manager Role
We have an opening for a highly motivated and results-driven regional marketing manager (RMM) to lead our rev-gen efforts within one of our regional office locations. In this role, the RMM will have a critical role in implementing marketing strategies with a primary focus on proposals, presentations, and collateral to drive revenue growth for FGMA. As the RMM, you will be responsible for creating compelling marketing materials and supporting our practice teams with impactful content.
The RMM will work closely with marketing coordinators who are responsible for producing marketing materials and executing day-to-day activities. Strong collaboration between the RMMs and the Marketing Coordinators is crucial to achieving regional marketing goals and generating revenue.
The RMM reports to the region’s managing director and the marketing director – rev-gen.
Expectations of the Regional Marketing Manager
Proposals
- Partner with practice leadership to research upcoming opportunities and track solicitations specific to FGMA’s business development strategies (e.g., leads, follow-up, status).
- Lead and manage the entire proposal lifecycle, from go/no-go to reviewing RFQs/RFPs to outlining, developing, coordinating, and submitting final proposals.
- Lead proposal kickoff meetings and strategy sessions for proposals.
- Reviewing RFP/ RFQ and determining requirements to complete proposal submission.
- Conduct research and analysis on prospective clients in coordination with the practice team.
- Develop win themes and customize content to align with the client's specific needs.
- Ensure response meets all RFP/RFQ criteria.
- Train, mentor and guide marketing coordinators, delegating tasks as needed.
- Source, integrate, and edit content from various authors into cohesive and compelling narratives.
- Coordinate technical content, manage design/layout, and ensure brand consistency in all proposals and presentations.
- Use proposal management tools (Asana, Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint) to manage all aspects of proposal development, including strategy, content, schedules, and task assignments.
- Participate in internal and external debriefs.
- Track content in the CRM system (Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint).
Interview and Presentation Preparation- Lead the development of interview presentations and associated materials.
- Support project teams with interview strategy and rehears with project teams for interviews.
- Participate in internal and external debriefs.
- Track relevant content in the CRM system (Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint).
- Facilitate interview rehearsals and provide constructive feedback.
Content Management- Oversee the creation and regular updating of personnel resumes, proposal content, brochures, project descriptions, and other marketing collateral.
- Maintain brand consistency and messaging across all collateral materials.
Conferences- In conjunction with the events coordinator, collaborate and manage all aspects of conferences, including registration, logistics, conference graphics and collateral, lead tracking, pre-and post-conference promotion, client events, presentations and budget approvals.
Demand Generation Support- Provide suggested topics and content for press releases, social media and website, ensuring consistency with FGMA’s brand standards, and marketing strategies.
- Support regional awards strategies, tracking and supporting submissions in partnership with the project team and the copywriters
- Track project milestones and community engagement events such as grand openings, groundbreakings, and photography needs, working closely with project teams to coordinate related activities.
Data Management- Utilize FGMA’s CRM system (Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint) to capture and manage marketing information.
- Maintain records for clients, contacts and opportunities.
- Work with project teams to capture and maintain project data for key portfolio projects.
- Create reports and searches to utilize CRM data.
Performance Metrics- Work with the marketing director to analyze data to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven recommendations.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in marketing or business development within the AEC industry.
- Passion for proposal development and winning work – rewrite to apply to RMM – but include something re passion.
- Effective proposal management skills, including planning, organization, problem identification and resolution, and resource management skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders and marketing team.
- Effectively handle multiple assignments simultaneously and meet tight deadlines with accuracy
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in both a remote and in-person team environment.

- Software proficiency:
- Advanced proficiency in InDesign (candidates will be tested before hire).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator.
- Familiarity with CRM applications (Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint) and Open Asset is a plus.
