Job summary

Interstate Batteries in the United States seeks an experienced Operations Manager to oversee a company-owned distributorship, driving profitability and inventory efficiency. You will manage AR, monitor weekly and monthly financials, and implement corrective actions to meet fiscal goals.

You will also partner with sales to grow regional business, optimize Dealer Inventory, and lead process improvements while ensuring OSHA/DOT compliance and data integrity in reporting systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years proven managerial experience.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Experience in warehouse or distribution operations is a plus.
• Knowledge of AR, budgeting and inventory controls is required.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and Excel is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee P&L and budget performance for the distributorship.
• Review weekly scorecards and monthly financials; address variances.
• Actively manage accounts receivable to maintain healthy levels.
• Develop and implement action plans for aging AR balances.
• Plan and manage inventory to align with sales activity.
• Lead Dealer Inventory Optimization for maximum sales efficiency.
• Collaborate with sales to pursue new regional business and market strategies.
