Job summary

La-Z-Boy is seeking a Regional Manufacturing Development Manager to oversee training systems, workforce capability, and certification processes across multiple Dayton-area facilities. You will align training initiatives with safety, quality, and operational goals and partner with HR and plant leadership to support workforce readiness.

The role requires leading Training Coaches and regional teams, standardizing training practices, and driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 4-6 years of experience in manufacturing, workforce development, training, operations, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of leadership experience.
• Willing to travel up to 30%.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional Training Coaches and training teams across facilities.
• Ensure standardized training programs and certifications are applied consistently.
• Support onboarding, skill progression, and certification readiness across plants.
• Monitor training effectiveness and workforce readiness KPIs; drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain training records and compliance-related training.
