Follett Corporation in Westchester, IL seeks an experienced District Manager to lead multiple college bookstore operations, drive budgets, profitability, and strategic initiatives across stores and campuses.

You will oversee sales, service, merchandising, and operations, motivate teams, manage budgets, travel to campus locations, partner with Store Operations, Marketing, HR, and Training, and maintain Follett values while delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required.
• 7+ years of big box or large multi‑unit retail management experience.
• 5+ years of multi-store management at a District Manager or multi‑unit level.
• Strong organizational, time management, and problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead full‑cycle talent management across multiple stores, including recruiting, training, coaching, and development.
• Build and maintain relationships with campus stakeholders to communicate strategies and store performance.
• Inspect stores and inventory, ensuring procedures and policies are followed and issues escalated appropriately.
• Analyze store and region financials, projecting sales and setting budgets and goals.
• Monitor operations such as security, asset protection, markdowns, and policy compliance.
• Drive a culture of guest satisfaction and loss prevention while transitioning new stores and closing stores as needed.
