Job summary

Follett Corporation is seeking an experienced leader to manage multiple college bookstore operations across a geographic region. You will establish budgets, drive sales and profit, and oversee service, merchandising, and policy adherence.

You will motivate and empower associates, partner with Store Operations, Marketing, AP, HR and Training, and align with Follett values while implementing strategic initiatives across campuses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required.
• 7+ years of big box or large multi-unit retail management experience.
• 5+ years of multi-store management at a District Manager or multi-unit level.
• Academic retail experience is a plus.
• Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong customer service, communication, and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical skills and financial acumen.
• Advanced relationship building, a demonstrated ability to influence a team.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for full-cycle talent management, including recruiting, training, coaching, and talent development.
• Visits with key campus constituents to maintain relationships and present Follett programs to stakeholders.
• Visits stores to inspect merchandise and inventory, ensuring procedures are followed and policies adhered to.
• Analyzes financial performance of stores and the region; projects sales and sets budgets and goals.
• Maintains communication with store managers on programs, improvements, and policy changes.
• Supports store transitions and closures as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
