Job summary

Summit Property Management is seeking a Regional Manager to oversee a portfolio of multi-family communities. You will lead Property Managers, drive occupancy, and implement turnaround strategies while ensuring strong investor reporting and asset performance.

The role requires 5+ years of regional experience, expertise in collections and finance, and proficiency with Yardi or RealPage. Travel within the portfolio is expected; a customer-service mindset is essential to protect resident relations

Qualifications

• 5+ years of regional manager experience in multi-family housing.
• Proven success in asset recovery, turnaround strategies, and operational improvement.
• Experience in collections management and improving delinquency metrics.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills across diverse teams.
• Financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting, and investor reporting.
• Customer service focus with ability to build trust with residents, staff, and owners.
• Proficiency in property management software (Yardi, RealPage, or similar).
• Ability to travel regularly within the portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct leadership to Property Managers across a regional portfolio.
• Drive operational performance to meet ownership expectations.
• Develop turnaround strategies for underperforming assets.
• Monitor financials: rent collections, expenses, variance reporting.
• Ensure timely reporting to ownership groups and executives.
• Maintain high resident satisfaction and community reputation.
• Train and develop onsite management teams.
• Conduct regular property visits for condition and compliance reviews.
• Collaborate with accounting and asset management on budgets and forecasts.
• Lead marketing, leasing, and resident engagement to drive occupancy.
• Collaborate with owners and investors on strategy and capital improvements.
• Enforce policies and foster a positive team culture.
