Right At School is seeking an Area Manager to oversee multiple in-school enrichment and childcare programs around Los Angeles, CA. You will act as the liaison with program managers, educators, parents, school administrators, licensing agencies, and external partners.

The role emphasizes program quality, P&L ownership, and growth across locations, while ensuring licensing compliance and strong HR leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years as a multi-unit manager (5+ site locations).
• Direct P&L experience.
• Knowledge of child care licensing regulations preferred.
• Experience working with children preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships and foster teamwork.
• Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
• Ability to pass background checks, including MVR.
• First Aid and CPR in-person.
• Cleared TB test.
• Ability to drive to schools/districts within assigned footprint.

Responsibilities

• Oversees implementation of curriculum and ensures high-quality program delivery and continuous improvement across operations.
• Maintains direct profit & loss responsibility for assigned programs.
• Markets Right At School programs at school and community events; grows locations in the area.
• Ensures sites meet state licensing requirements.
• Implements standardized operating procedures to drive quality.
• Develops positive relationships with school administration, PTOs, vendors, and central staff.
• Manages HR functions: scheduling, hiring, coaching, and staff disciplining; supports development and training.
