Job summary

Right At School in the Los Angeles area is seeking an Area Manager to oversee multiple in-school enrichment and childcare programs, responsible for daily operations, program quality, customer satisfaction, and profitability.

You will serve as the liaison with program managers, educators, parents, school administrators and licensing agencies, while driving program delivery, compliance, and staff development across sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years as a multi-unit manager (5+ sites)
• Direct P&L experience
• Knowledge of child care licensing regulations preferred
• Experience working with children preferred
• Proven ability to build collaborative relationships and foster teamwork
• Experience in fast-paced, high-growth environments is a plus
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
• Excellent judgment, problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to pass background checks including MVR
• First Aid and CPR in-person
• Tuberculosis test cleared
• Ability to drive to schools/districts within footprint

Responsibilities

• Oversee implementation of Right At School’s curriculum across sites and ensure high-quality delivery
• Maintain direct profit & loss responsibility for assigned programs
• Market programs at school/community events and drive site growth
• Ensure sites meet state licensing requirements
• Implement standardized operating procedures to drive quality
• Develop positive relationships with school admins, PTAs, vendors and central staff
• Manage HR functions including scheduling, hiring, coaching and staff development
