Job summary

CSG Talent is partnering with an established North Carolina engineering and environmental consultancy to appoint a senior leader who will drive growth across NC. The role oversees a ~40-person team and ownership of business performance across Geotechnical, CMT, Environmental and Civil/Site disciplines.

The successful candidate will leverage an established NC network, win work, develop client accounts, mentor leaders and work with regional leadership to expand the footprint.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in engineering/environmental consulting or related professional services.
• Established North Carolina client relationships in public infrastructure or private development markets.
• Track record of revenue generation, client account development and commercial leadership.
• Experience leading teams, business units, or regional operations with P&L responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic growth and overall performance of the North Carolina business, including revenue, profitability and P&L.
• Develop and execute growth strategies across Charlotte, Raleigh, Greensboro and surrounding markets.
• Identify, pursue and secure new business opportunities through relationships and client development.
• Build and strengthen relationships with public agencies, municipalities, developers and private sector clients.
• Provide commercial and operational leadership across multidisciplinary engineering and environmental teams.

North Carolina State Leader - Engineering & Environmental Consulting

Location: North Carolina - Charlotte, Raleigh or Greensboro

The Opportunity CSG Talent is partnering with an established, nationally recognised engineering and environmental consultancy to appoint a senior leader to drive the next phase of growth across North Carolina. With an existing team of approximately 40 professionals, an established client base and the backing of a substantial Southeast regional operation, this is an opportunity to take ownership of an existing business while shaping its future direction. The business operates across Geotechnical Engineering, Construction Materials Testing (CMT), Environmental Consulting and Civil/Site Development , supporting public and private sector clients throughout the state. We are seeking a commercially minded leader who can build relationships, win work, develop high-performing teams and take genuine ownership of business performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic growth and overall performance of the North Carolina business, with responsibility for revenue, profitability and P&L.
• Develop and execute a business growth strategy across Charlotte, Raleigh, Greensboro and surrounding markets.
• Identify, pursue and secure new business opportunities through established relationships and proactive client development.
• Build and strengthen relationships with public agencies, municipalities, developers and private sector clients.
• Provide commercial and operational leadership across multidisciplinary engineering and environmental teams.

• Work closely with Southeast regional leadership to identify opportunities for expansion, investment and cross-service collaboration.
