Job summary

Community Assisted & Supported Living Inc. in Fort Myers, FL, seeks a full-time exempt professional to coordinate case management and life skills services for adults with severe mental illness.

This role supervises staff, trains leaders, and ensures regulatory compliance across Lee and Collier counties. The position requires a Bachelor's Degree in a related field and 3+ years of experience, with strong verbal/written communication and solid computer/EHR skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college in a human services field or related field.
• Minimum of three years of full-time or equivalent experience working with adults with mental illness.
• Knowledge of state and federal statutes and policies affecting the target population.
• Knowledge of resources for adults with mental illness, substance abuse, and homelessness.
• Proven skills in case management, housing/services, and recovery peer services.

Responsibilities

• Provide case management and life skills services to clients.
• Supervise a team of professional staff and oversee the case management team in Lee and Collier counties.
• Train staff, including new team leads and case managers, on policies and procedures.
• Coordinate services through consultation, linkage, advocacy, and information on community resources.
• Ensure adherence to regulations and timely completion of reporting and paperwork.

This is a full-time exempt position starting with an annual salary of $60,000 that is responsible for the provision and coordination of case management and life skills services to clients. Supervises a team of professional staff. Responsible for the oversight of the case management team in Lee and Collier counties. Responsible for training including for new team leads, case managers, changes to policies and procedures, and in problem areas for all case managers. Will assist clients in making choices for the full and appropriate use of available services through the use of consultation, service linkage, advocacy and information about community, county, state, and federal resources. Will monitor adherence to regulations and the accurate and prompt completion of all reporting, billing, and other required paperwork.

Position Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college with a major in; counseling, social work, psychology, criminal justice, nursing, rehabilitation, special education, health education or a related human services field and have a minimum of three years of full time or equivalent experience working with adults with severe and persistent mental illness,
OR
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college and five years, full time or equivalent, working with adults with persistent mental health diagnosis.

• Demonstrates excellent verbal and written skills.
• Must demonstrate above average computer skills.
• Must demonstrate excellent skills using electronic health records.
• Must demonstrate good knowledge and use of Microsoft Suite.
• Must be able to work with diverse groups and individuals, including various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.

• Good Moral Character.
• Employment is contingent upon passing a drug screen and adherence to the drug-free workplace policy.
• Valid FL driver’s license; must be able to drive and become and remain under the agency’s vehicle insurance policy.
• Must maintain trainings as required.
• Must have a negative TB screening within 30 days of hire and annually thereafter.
