Job summary

Two Coast Living is seeking a Regional Maintenance Technician to oversee maintenance operations across multiple multifamily communities in California. This hands-on role combines technical leadership with regional oversight, including coaching on-site teams, capital projects, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in maintenance within property management or hospitality, plus 5+ years in leadership.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant maintenance experience in property management or hospitality environments.
• 5+ years of leadership or supervisory experience managing maintenance teams across one or more communities.
• Experience supporting multiple properties, regional operations, or traveling maintenance assignments preferred.
• Experience with maintenance budgeting, procurement, inventory management, and vendor coordination.

Responsibilities

• Conduct property visits to evaluate maintenance operations, identify opportunities for improvement, ensure quality standards, and coach on-site teams.
• Perform preventative, routine, and emergency maintenance across multiple communities, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliances, painting, and general building systems.
• Monitor life safety compliance and required maintenance documentation (EPA records, MSDS, pool logs, logs, inspections).
• Support turnover operations by assisting with make-ready planning and coordinating timely unit readiness.
• Lead, coach, and mentor on-site maintenance staff; assist with hiring, performance management, and training.
• Promote a safety-first culture and ensure OSHA compliance and proper handling of chemicals and tools.
