This role partners closely with Property Managers, Regional Managers, and on-site Maintenance teams to ensure properties are maintained to company standards, preventative maintenance programs are executed consistently, regulatory compliance is achieved, and maintenance operations support long-term asset performance.This is a highly hands-on role that combines advanced technical expertise with regional oversight. The Regional Maintenance Technician regularly travels between communities to perform property inspections, coach and support on-site teams, troubleshoot complex maintenance issues, assist with capital and special projects, and help ensure maintenance standards are consistently achieved throughout the portfolio.Work ArrangementLocation:Onsite |Multiple PropertiesSchedule:Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PMOn-Call:Required as needed to support property operations and maintenance emergenciesKey ResponsibilitiesConduct routine property visits to evaluate maintenance operations, identify opportunities for improvement, ensure quality standards are met, and support on-site teams through coaching and technical guidancePerform and assist with preventative, routine, and emergency maintenance across multiple communities, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliances, painting, and general building systemsMonitor preventative maintenance programs, life safety compliance, and required maintenance documentation, including EPA records, MSDS, pool logs, preventative maintenance logs, utility inspections, and other regulatory requirementsSupport apartment turnover operations by assisting with make-ready planning, troubleshooting delays, and helping maintenance teams maintain unit readiness and operational efficiencyAssist with maintenance budgeting, inventory management, purchasing, vendor coordination, and cost-control initiatives while supporting capital improvement and special projects as assignedLead, coach, train, and mentor on-site maintenance associates while partnering with Property Managers and Regional Managers on hiring, performance management, workforce planning, and technical developmentPromote a safety-first culture by ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety standards, and proper handling of chemicals, equipment, tools, and regulated materials while proactively identifying and correcting safety concernsCareer Path & Next Role ReadinessThe Regional Maintenance Technician role is intentionally designed as a pathway to National Maintenance roles.
