Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Regional Area Maintenance Manager in Richmond, VA to lead maintenance teams responsible for safety, reliability, and operational excellence across the region. You will develop maintenance strategies, oversee preventative programs, and coordinate with operations to keep MHE and robotics running smoothly.

Travel up to 80% will be required; you will mentor technicians and automation engineers, ensure compliance with safety standards, and manage external contractors while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 2+ years of Amazon experience.
• Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Reliability Engineering degree or 2+ years Amazon RME experience.
• Flexibility to work a varied schedule including weekends/nights/holidays.
• 4+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
• 2+ years of direct leadership/supervisory experience.
• 2+ years of CMMS experience.
• 2+ years of Microsoft Office products experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and mentorship to service technicians and automation engineers.
• Ensure safety protocols are strictly followed during maintenance activities.
• Design and implement preventive maintenance programs and coordinate with external contractors.
• Monitor MHE metrics and analyze system performance with relevant teams.
• Domestic travel up to 80% to provide escalation support within the region.
