Description of Work
The North Carolina Department of Adult Corrections (NCDAC) is responsible for the care, custody, and supervision of adults sentenced after conviction for violating North Carolina laws. This includes State Prisons, Correction Enterprises, Division of Community Corrections, and Reentry Programs and Services.
We are seeking an energized and collaborative Regional Maintenance Electronics Technician (Electronics Technician I) to join the Piedmont Regional Maintenance Team. The position is based at the Piedmont Regional Maintenance Yard in Asheboro, NC, and involves assisting the Electronics Systems Team with preventative maintenance and system replacements.
The ideal candidate will have basic experience in installing, maintaining, and repairing electronics systems, be able to work independently under supervision, read blueprints, and perform related duties.
This full-time position (40 hours/week) requires daily commuting to Asheboro, NC, with a work schedule Monday – Friday, possibly including some weekends and overnight travel. State benefits include retirement, health insurance, vacation, sick leave, and holidays.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Minimum Education and Experience:
Associate's degree in electronics and one year of experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Licensure may be required.
