Job summary

SpecialtyRx, Inc. is seeking a Purchasing Manager to oversee purchasing operations, inventory management, and vendor coordination across LTC pharmacy locations. You will supervise and develop Purchasing and Receiving Technicians while ensuring procurement aligns with budgets and regulatory requirements.

The role focuses on minimizing stockouts, maintaining accurate records, and improving inventory flow to support cost-effective purchasing practices throughout the organization.

Qualifications

• Experience in purchasing, inventory management, or pharmacy operations.
• Supervisor or team leadership experience preferred.
• Experience with Framework and SureCost systems preferred.
• Strong knowledge of inventory control, purchasing, and reporting.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication across multiple pharmacy locations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily purchasing and receiving operations across locations.
• Onboard and develop Purchasing and Receiving Technicians on Framework and SureCost.
• Coach and mentor team to promote accuracy, accountability, compliance and efficiency.
• Ensure purchasing and receiving activities follow company policies and procedures.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels and substitutions.
• Monitor OOS items, negative on-hand quantities, and deadstock.
• Coordinate biannual physical inventories and assist with data uploads.
• Identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy and purchasing efficiency.
• Audit purchasing data between SureCost and Framework and reconcile discrepancies.
• Review reports and take corrective actions; communicate findings to Purchasers and Inventory Management.
• Monitor budget spend and variances; track owe and deadstock reports.
