Job summary

Axsome Therapeutics is seeking a Regional Business Director (LTC) to lead nationwide LTC commercial activities, build a team of Account Managers, and execute marketing strategies for a defined geography. You will drive sales performance and develop a high-performing, digitally-enabled LTC organization while collaborating with Market Access and Axsome HQ.

Qualifications

• BA or BS required; advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years of field leadership or payer account management experience.
• Pharma/biotech marketing or sales experience with 3–5 years in a first-line leadership role.
• Proven coaching and talent development track record.
• LTC/hospital/health system sales leadership experience.
• Launch experience preferred.
• Live within the territory geography.
• Strong digital marketing aptitude and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise LTC-focused regional operations including driving results, hiring and coaching, and account manager development.
• Develop and implement strategic regional plans and prioritize efforts.
• Drive region performance and coach direct reports to meet business potential.
• Coordinate with Market Access to ensure pull-through and expertise in LTC dynamics.
• Support accounts including pharmacies while ensuring high-quality service and appropriate product use.
• Identify key decision makers and engage with Axsome HQ.
• Maintain technical expertise to answer product, marketing, policy, and business questions.
• Lead coaching for selling skills and product knowledge in live and virtual settings.
• Plan and conduct region and Market Access meetings; manage regional budget and P&L.
