Job summary

Axsome Therapeutics seeks a Regional Business Director, Long Term Care, to lead LTC commercial activities for an assigned geography. The role builds and leads a team of Account Managers, executes marketing strategies, and supports a successful product launch.

The RBD will travel as needed, supervise region operations, influence cross-functional teams, and drive regional P&L. A strong background in pharma or biotech sales leadership, with LTC or hospital experience and a track record of coaching

Qualifications

• BA or BS required; advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years in field leadership or payer management.
• Pharma/biotech marketing or sales experience with first-line leadership.
• Proven leadership and coaching ability.
• LTC/hospital or health system sales leadership experience.
• Psychiatry disease experience preferred.
• Launch experience preferred.
• Must live within territory geography.
• Strong digital marketing aptitude.
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise LTC operations of the Region, including hiring/coaching and assigning priority accounts.
• Develop and implement strategic regional plans and balance live/virtual interactions.
• Drive performance to achieve regional business potential through coaching of direct reports.
• Partner with Market Access team for pull-through and knowledge of LTC dynamics.
• Support development of assigned accounts, including pharmacies, with high-quality service and appropriate product use.
• Identify key account decision makers and engage Axsome HQ.
• Maintain technical expertise to answer product, marketing, policies, and business questions.
• Lead and coach account managers in live and virtual settings.
• Plan and conduct meetings with Region and Market Access teams.
• Develop LTC Region business plan, manage budget and P&L.
