Job summary

The Iowa Department of Revenue’s Lottery Division is seeking a District Sales Representative to cover Region 3, with counties including Cerro Gordo, Floyd, Chickasaw, Franklin, Butler, and Bremer. You must reside in Iowa and be at least 21 with a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities include visiting retail outlets to promote Lottery tickets, distributing promo materials, developing promotions, and ensuring secure handling of tickets.

Qualifications

• One year of full-time work experience in product sales/promotion as a manufacturer's representative or route sales person.

Responsibilities

• Act as a representative for the state Lottery relating to the sales, marketing, and promotion of Lottery tickets.
• Travel to retail outlets in the assigned region to distribute Lottery tickets and point of sale promotional materials.
• Develop and establish sales promotions at retail outlets.
• Maintain security of Lottery tickets at all times and explains proper handling of Lottery tickets to retail outlets to ensure a secure selling environment at each of the retail locations.
• Analyze retailer sales data to optimize the promotion and sales of Lottery tickets at retail outlets.
• Backup the regional office with various daily regional office duties.
