Job summary

AutoZone, Inc. is seeking a Regional Loss Prevention Manager to partner with field and store leadership, driving loss-prevention programs and safety initiatives across an assigned region.

You will lead investigations, analyze trends, conduct audits, and strengthen internal controls while maintaining a strong field presence. The role emphasizes data-driven decision-making, collaboration with operations, and ongoing training to reduce shrink and protect assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Asset Protection, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of three years of retail loss prevention experience.
• Experience supporting multiple store locations within a retail environment.
• Strong investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and develop actionable solutions.
• Knowledge of retail operations, safety practices, and loss prevention methodologies.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence leaders at all levels.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness and ability to travel approximately 60%, including some overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Partner with field and store leadership to implement and maintain loss prevention and safety programs throughout an assigned region.
• Analyze KPIs, exception reporting, and shrink data to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for loss reduction.
• Conduct loss prevention investigations involving internal and external theft with proper documentation.
• Perform regular Loss Prevention and Safety audits to identify risks, ensure compliance, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain a strong field presence through routine store visits and regional meetings with operational leaders.
• Monitor POS exception reporting and other tools to detect potential fraudulent activity.
• Develop and recommend strategies, controls, and procedures to minimize losses.
• Oversee the functionality and maintenance of security systems (alarms, EAS, CCTV).
• Support new store openings, relocations, and closings by ensuring compliance with LP standards.
• Assist in supervising regional loss prevention personnel and address organizational challenges.
• Ensure incidents of asset loss are identified, investigated, documented, and resolved.
• Provide training and coaching to store teams on LP awareness and safety standards.
